LEE HI in BARCELONA

The Bubble Pop Fest was the first Asian music festival in Europe.

A unique event with artists from all across the Asian continent.

What went down in Barcelona in July 2023 with the Bubble Pop Fest was iconic. A celebration of Asian music and culture that no fan should have missed.

Filled with stands and activities to do, the Fira de Barcelona became, on July 1st and 2nd, a wonderful gathering for Asian culture. The place was full of happy people, overflowing with energy and excitement. All the merch stands of the different artists present, packed with t-shirts, manga, artwork, keychains, postcards, and more. There were also interactive zones where fans could take photos or participate in games and contests organized by the event, not to mention the many food and drink options offered by the festival.

With two different line-ups for each day, I decided to attend on the second day to see once again one of my favorite voices: LEE HI.

On day 2, the lineup featured DJ MINGJEON, MILENA, XOOOS, THREE1989, TIFFANY DAY, I DON'T LIKE MONDAYS, JUNNY, LEE HI, and VANTAGE. I have to say I arrived a bit late to catch the rest of the artists. I managed to catch the end of THREE1989 when I first arrived at the festival. The vibe TIFFANY DAY brought was incredible, and JUNNY set all his fans on fire with his songs. But, as you know, my heart belongs to the amazing LEE HI.

When she stepped on stage and I could see her up close, I felt a wave of happiness fill my body. The songs she performed, from "Red Lipstick," to "HOLO," through "ONLY" and "H.S.K.T.," each one made that day unique and special. It was as if LEE HI, one of my favorite voices in the world, was performing for us in a very simple and intimate concert. I felt a deep connection with the artist, even more so when she sang "Breathe," one of my favorite songs.

Tears kept streaming down my face. The lyrics, the feelings that song evokes in me, all the times I’ve listened to it to not give up, knowing that LEE HI’s music would be there to help me through my hardest moments; all the times I’ve stopped and just breathed. That song brings an infinite amount of memories and emotions to my whole body. So, it was impossible to avoid getting emotional throughout the performance.

She is a goddess whose music has helped me on many occasions.

This is where I started taking YouTube seriously.

I got a GoPro and documented the trip, but it didn’t go anywhere.

Should I ever reveal that content? The performances of TIFFANY DAY, JUNNY, and LEE HI? 🎵🎸
